The Saint Lucia Jazz Festival Produced in Collaboration with Jazz at Lincoln Center
As one for the history books, The Saint Lucia Jazz & Arts Festival has teamed up with Jazz at Lincoln Center to bring you a one of a kind experience!
Acclaimed as the leading jazz festival in the Caribbean, Saint Lucia Jazz was launched in 1991. It initially offered a rich history of music only, specifically jazz, but inclusive of R&B and Calypso. In recent times, it has been rebranded to include art, fashion, dance, theatre and culinary arts under the name The Saint Lucia Jazz & Arts Festival. Jazz at Lincoln Center, with their mission to “entertain, enrich and expand a global community for Jazz through performance, education and advocacy” has provided jazz lovers with the opportunity to learn, support and partake in the symphonic genre. It thus makes sense that this monumental collaboration would eventually occur.
From Sunday, May 5 to Sunday, May 12th, come participate in this exceptional Festival taking place across the gorgeous island of Saint Lucia. The stellar lineup includes renowned names like Christian McBride, Ledisi, Catherine Russell and the Baylor Project, as well as members of the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra and a number of other local and regional musicians and collaborators.
If you’ve always wanted to attend Saint Lucia Jazz this is definitely the year to consider. Drawing artists and visitors from across the globe, this Festival is sure to wow you and perhaps gain you a new favourite artist and a few new friends!
